First person to fly the B-1A has passed away

Retired Col. Charles C. “Charlie” Bock, who flew the B-1A on its maiden flight, has passed away on Aug. 21.

During his test flying career, Bock also flew the first B-58 Hustler from Forth Worth to Edwards Air Force Base.
